Having two huge 6m pallets delivered to a London address can be quite an event, but everything went very smoothly. Paul rang ahead of the delivery, was bang on time, and had everything unloaded and dropped exactly where we needed it very quickly and efficiently. Tip top, cheers!

We enlisted Jeavons to handle storage of about 30 to 40 pallets from the middle of 2022. We agreed a set price for storage per week, and transport between our site and theirs. We knew exactly how much each pallet would cost us and how much to set aside. Things changed dramatically in the turn of 2023 when they released a new tariff outlining several new charges which they were applying to our account. They started charging for driver retention, fuel surcharge, pallet labels, and next day delivery premiums - none of which we had agreed some months prior before starting out with Jeavons. They also introduced a picking fee which they agreed to waive in the end after explained it didn't take an hour to prepare a single pallet for despatch.

We tried to make the point that we had already locked in the agreed rates for the pallets in storage, but they didn't get it. As a result, we had no choice but to pay all of these new charges which doubled our costs and added further logistical pains for us to try and minimise these charges by providing more notice to avoid next day delivery premiums (they're less than 2miles from our site).

In the end, we moved all of our remaining pallets to another provider where storage and transportation costs are agreed and fixed with no hidden charges and excessive costs for basic services. They're aware of the issues we've had with this new tariff, but sadly they've prioritised short term gain over a long term working relationship.

Cancelled our delivary of log cabin by after hours email with less than 24 hours notice. Wasted a day off of work to receive the delivary also paid in advance for the cabin and left wondering if I'll ever get it. 10 day delivary promised on 18th December.
