Same as other reviews. Went to collect a parcel which was specifically delivered to this address due to it being open.

Last behind the counter said it was closed. Even though everywhere indicates it's open.

Someone called maleek said d on the phone he didn't want to open the store.

Update: ignore any online opening hours information. This Post Office follows its own rules and seems to open when it feels like it. Despite being advertised as open today (Saturday), it isn’t. The shop it is housed in, however, is open all hours. Extremely misleading.

No matter where you shop online, if this is one of the options to ‘order & collect’, then expect the worst if you’re collecting any time after around 5pm. Despite being listed as late opening for parcel collection, actually trying to get your parcel is something of a challenge.
Several times now (you’d think I’d learnt my lesson the first time) I’ve been met with various excuses as to why I can’t have my parcel, but I never intend leaving empty handed.
My favourite excuse (when they eventually do go and look for it) is “it’s not here”. Now, modern tracking information dictates that it is, so that little get-out simply isn’t going to work.
It’s a poor excuse for a parcel collection point, unless you’re able to get there in the daytime.
They need to change their advertised opening hours, or make it clear that the general shop is open late, but you’ll have a verbal fight on your hands if you turn up expecting the Post Office part to just smile and hand over your goods any time after the sun goes down.

I have always found the post office counter staff helpful and polite and always tell you if there is a better way to send your post

Says post office is open till 9 even on the post office website but its closed every day at 5pm they refuse to use the one at the counter and just get rude say not there problem.
Waste of time even being there its the reason most of the village use the one on second avenue.

I alwayyyyys have an issue with this post office. 1) The opening hours aren't correct. I have been in there at half 5 and they are already cashing up. 2) The people who work behind the counter are actually quite rude & unhelpful. Only the young boy who works there is helpful and polite. 3) I have sent 3 items back in the past 2 weeks, all 3 of those things haven't been delivered to its intended destination. I then decided to use a different method of returning items for other parcels (Hermes drop off) and they have been returned and processed in a week. I am always reluctant to go into this post office as it seems like everything I ask them to do is too much effort. Would rather travel out of my way and go to a different post office.

Poor service, refused to post office service even during published opening hours, this always occurs when the owner is on . His female member of staff is wonderful & friendly & never does this.

I miss the old owners, these people are grumpy, rude, and arrogant and very difficult and don't particularly care for their customers, if you run a business it's important to look after your locals !!!

I went there yesterday instead of Tesco which was closed because it was a Bank Holiday Monday. I was very disappointed that they didn't sell Jaffa Cakes, but only a Happy Shopper version and the Ben & Jerry's ice cream was priced at £5.49, which is quite expensive as it is normally £5.00 or even £3.50 at McColls and I was even more disappointed when I got home to try the ice cream and it tasted strange. My family said it was probably frozen for too long because it tasted more of ice than ice cream. I personally wouldn't shop there again and I would have rather waited until Tesco opened to be honest.
