Surprisingly rude staff telling me off for doing some research before buying. If one doesn’t know anything about a certain item, one reads up on it. I’ve been to many antiques shops, but something like this never happened. This was the last visit there.

Lots of different things to buy in here. Vinyls, figurines, glass pots and ring holders, clothes and costume jewellery. It was quite packed together, but it was arranged well and was an interesting place to look around- with an upstairs and downstairs.

When in Margate Old Town, I must visit one of my favourite shops, Kings Emporium. There is so much to see, a good rummage through and always finding something of interest. The grandsons each get £5.00 to spend and they love it. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The Kings Emporium is well named. There is something for everyone. Fabulous vintage jewellery, trinkets, glass, ceramics, books, clothes for every occasion, furniture, pictures, shells, Vinyls - you name it, it’ll be there along with incredibly kind and helpful staff. Don’t miss it! It is one of Margate’s gems!
