Nice Harbour, we did the fishing trip to see wildlife. (No fishing involved) just beautiful surroundings and sightings of Minky Whales. We got to stay out for longer which was nice.

Burghead Harbour is part of the Scottish Riviera and with weather like it gets here it’s easy to see why.

The harbour has an old Pictish Fort and there is a beach to explore as well.

Sammy the Seal is a frequent flyer in the harbour itself often seen lazing around where all the fishing boats are.

The water at the beach is surprisingly warm considering it’s the North Sea it certainly doesn’t feel like it!

A lovely fishing town with loads of history, we had a stunning walk along the beach towards Roseisle with the dogs. The views up the east coast were incredible, 30 miles plus towards Wick. It was only missing a coffee stop, I should have been better prepared.

A delight to go around and see the Moray Firth from this spot. Harbour was full of boats with seals swimming the day I was there!

Small fishing harbour with seals and black and white ducks, in amongst the few fishing boats a very shy seal appeared! Great to see, easy to park but it was a cold Thursday end of November.
