I booked our tickets directly with Calmac, saving a little time and money. The boat doesnt hang around long so make sure youre there a little early. There was some free parking available on the pier and around 6 disabled bays right next to the Terminal building. The waiting area has a few rows of seats and toilet facilities along with a couple of vending machines for refreshments. The trip to Dunoon took roughly 25 minutes in good weather. If the boat is cancelled they will put on a bus to the western ferries terminal along the coast and issue alternative tickets for the 1st available trip. Overall, its a decent service and saves a 2 hour drive through Argyll.

Cancelled our ferry (and therefore our holiday) the day before at 5pm. Last time I used calmac,3 years earlier, they did the same. Awful unreliable company

Straight forward way of travel . Got an account and got the tickets online . Rest it was dead easy . Arrived at port and got guided entry to ferry and use their shop to get some coffe and cake . Staff very helpful . Overall easy to use and best of all not that expensive either

A truly wonderful Ireland stunning the staff on the ferry couldn't be more helpful very polite and professional if you turn up without a ticket they will do their best to get you on the boat if there is room totally professional 😎👍 thank you CalMac fairies

Please tender the next contract more effectively. That way, once again, Dunoon can have more than one, reliable service between there and Gourock.
(Especially from the middle of town as opposed to Hunter's Quay.)
