Minimum facilities at the terminal, could have atleast a rain shelter before check-in. The ship journey was good, neat, good eateries and coffee shops. It's good if you book a seat or cabin

We took the Manxman from Liverpool to Douglas and then from Douglas to Belfast.

Really nice ferry and very helpful staff. Each sailing was about 4-5 hrs and had lots of time to do so many activities.

We booked a cabin on one sailing (Douglas- Belfast) and were really impressed with the cabins and facilities. The last ferry we took was DFDS in Scandinavia, IOMSP is almost similar.

If you even on this don’t miss to head all the way upto deck 9 roof top open viewing area for some really ‘Titanic’ vibes !

Really happy that we chose to sail rather then fly. Looking forward to our next sailing sometime soon!

We travelled on Manannan from Belfast to Isle of Man in July 2025.

I booked the tickets in advance and found the whole process very easy as a foot passenger.

The ferry is nice and clean and there are facilities on board you would expect such as a bar/cafe and toilets. There is even a small cinema and a play area for children.

We had reserved seats in the lounge. It was nice and comfortable.

There is also a smoking/viewing area at the back of the ferry which is a good opportunity to see and photograph the port in Belfast, the titanic museum and the cranes.

Check-in and security are easy and fast. The terminal is also well signposted and easy to find.

Facilities are minimal at the terminal; it's best to wait until you are on the ferry to get something to eat. The port staff are very friendly and helpful, as are the staff on the Isle of Man ferries. If you are going to have a long wait for the ferry, bring some sandwiches and a flask.

Horrible company that thrives on having the monopoly of service to the Island. Foot passenger prices are ridiculous. Telephone manner is just rude. Awful company. Would rather take a jet ski

Was very disappointed with the pet cabins. We tried the dog mattress and I'm not joking, it was more comfortable than the mattresses for us humans. There is no way you could sleep on those, dreadful. We took turns out and about and the chairs which are free were more comfortable. Lovely modern boat but was missing a bit of the atmosphere the old boat had. PLEASE change the single mattresses in the cabins. Its a new boat so shouldn't be let down by cheap mattresses.

Ferry from Douglas to Belfast. Departed late. Eta was 0015 but did not arrive until 0400 despite smooth sailing. 4 hours late. As pedestrian customer was kept onboard until 0430 until all vehicles had cleared the vessel. No pedestrian ramp available. No taxi service as arrival was so late. Had to walk to hotel. Service disorganised, communication to customers was almost non existant

One plus side of this terminal is the stunning views across the River Laggan to the Titanic Quarter and beyond to Harland & Wolff. If you get to see it from the deck when you arrive, you will be treated to a unique perspective.
