We had a pallet delivery which was dumped in the middle of our driveway and the driver tried to drive away without notifying us. The driver arrived and without consultation or discussion on where to place the pallet chose to put it down and leave. Once I realised I then told him I was refusing the delivery but he did not care and said he couldn’t move it. I asked him several times to take the delivery back as like had left it in a hazardous place.

Eventually he phoned his office and the office operative was also extremely unwilling to help to find a solution to move these aside. He was rude and said that this wasn’t his problem. The delivery man had requisite equipment to move it out of the way but claimed that it was a “kerbside delivery”so he couldn’t move it. This may have been the case but he didn’t even leave it on the kerb! Presumably he could have left the pallet on the kerb rather than the middle of a shared driveway, blocking the only access to my house and our neighbours’ homes.

The driver then tried to tell me someone else was coming with equipment to move the pallet was coming which was clearly not the case.

The driver and the office operative reitetated this was not their problem and that I should call the supplier who would have to deal with the problem.

Absolutely appalling and shocking service. In the end this did not get resolved and I had to spend money getting a third party to help.
