Recently visited your store with my daughter who is 10 months old when I was playing quietly with a little bumble bee you have in store, I was buzzing it around my daughter & she was laughing at me and then some worker came over and shouted at me “that’s not a toy!!” So I went oh okay I’m sorry, what is it? I left abruptly and said I take it you don’t want me to buy it then. She went I’d love you to buy it . I said how awkward .. and walked out. As a young mum I find it difficult to keep my young daughter occupied when shopping and thought the toy would be a good distraction for her as she loves her bumble bee book, I’m in shock by the rudeness of your staff member and I will never return.

Popped in to see if they had any books, by an author i had previously read books by & trying to find another of her books-(they didn't). Well stocked (as are all Waterstones). Good shop if you live/visit Morpeth as I was.

Great staff and a huge range of books and goodies

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went in today requesting a certain type of book and was given lots of recommendations, all good. The recommendations were so accurate that I’d read most of them which shows the staff really listened to what I said. A rare quality!
I left with a couple of books that I wouldn’t have thought to buy. I’ve started one and it’s brilliant. I love shops that have informed staff that know what they’re talking about.

Beautiful store.
It has the most beautiful fireplace to sit and read your recently purchased books, even order tea or lunch, and sit in front of.
There's a rewards program to which you donate your books and receive a discount on your next purchase, which I will definitely be taking advantage of.

My only gripe is that there are no newer titles and the genre layout isn't the best.
