If you time yourself going around town in a car, as you sit at a red traffic light watching the clock tick, Bypass ulez and stationary traffic and use a shop that's simply got better stuff at real prices. In a place that's a drivers dream to reach and it's 30 mins away. Which is as close is the Quay is Timewise. Its my kind of place

Amazing store! Sells literally everything, but a real alladdins cave for those with country and equestrian interests; there is such a huge range of stable yard and horsecare kit, and tack, feed and bedding. Competitively priced and excellent, friendly service.

I'm a big fan of Robson and Cowan. When I first moved to the wilds of Northumberland, almost 20 years ago, I was amazed to find such a large, well stocked hardware shop that could also sell me some hiking boots, a wheelbarrow, satellite dish (with installation), fridge freezer or smart TV. Their prices are surprisingly competitive.
