Avoid this post office, and be aware if you have any elderly/vulnerable relatives using it. I have now had three experiences (on my only three visits) to Aldershot PO where they have tried to overcharge me or provide me with more expensive services than I have explicitly asked for. Most recently, I tried to use a service which was advertised as £2.75 for my parcel and they tried to charge me £8.75(!). They tried to put it through as First Class Signed-for when I explicitly asked for RM tracked 48 and they had repeated back to me my request for that service. The person serving was argumentative when I queried the price and initially refused to return my parcel so I could send elsewhere. I used the service I wanted in a local corner shop and was charged £2.75 for the correct service with no issues.

Tried to charge me more than the official post office/DVLA price to renew my driving license. Added fees for things that are advertised to be included in the overall price by the Post Office/DVLA. After reading other reviews I can see this seems to be the general trend for this place. The Post Office need to sort this place out its really bad for their reputation and brand.

The man putting specs, he was saying to his staff in Indian language, “do not help her or guide her. Just make her do the payment of the envelopes.”
I was there asking about Share code regarding driving license, as i was about to send my original documents through them. Then the specs guy, (about 45 to 50 years old, a bit tall and lean), he again said, “you are sending the original documents to DVLA, not to us. You don’t ask us about share code, or anything about envelopes. Just come here to pay.” Thats exactly what he said.
Do not go to that post office people. You can go to the one at Farnbourough, that would be near for Aldershot. Ans thankfully i have already sent a complaint email regarding this issue, to the information rights post office email id.
Today’s specs man, (20th jan, 2025) must be removed as soon as possible. Im sure there are other illegible people to do that work with more humbleness. We need more helpful people.
No wonder, even others have sent similar reviews like mine, about them.

The Indian receptionists at the place is the rudest post office employee i have ever encountered with. She acts like she is doing a favour just being there. I had to send one parcel to my friend and the tone and behaviour was horrible.

Someone needs to check upon this Indian
lady and train her what customer experience should look like.

This branch always prey on their customers and try to charge for the most expensive service without offering options. I asked back and the young Indian lady at the counter got annoyed and started to become rude. People who are not aware end up paying more for needless services.
