This is a grocery store and sub post office, with a reasonable range of essentials, including a variety of breads, cakes stationary, tins, chilled goods, drinks and snacks. They keep the shelves adequately stocked and the opening times are decent. It seems picky to me to complain about problems with the post office (stemming from short staffing issues) when we're lucky to have one at all. They do their best.

The staff are friendly and helpful, which is more than can be said for the local Costcutter, and I tend to choose G&A over them for that reason. My mother only had to go in there a few times and ask about vegan food, and some vegan-suitable naan bread showed up. Clearly, they listen.

The lady on the counter is extremely rude. I went to buy washing powder and the first thing she said - I have no change to give out for laundrette and won't accept cash unless you tender the exact change. refused to accept cash. Not sure why they are even opened if they want to refuse the customer straightaway. The costcutter down the road is extremely helpful. Probably she can learn a thing or two from the bloke at their counter.

Exceptionally slow service at post office. Very unhelpful staff who seem unsure about what they're doing. Limited services, don't accept parcels over 5kg and won't keep special delivery overnight if you've missed the last collection. Won't accept a letter to post along side parcels. Avoid at all costs.

Lined up outside post office, get to counter told I need the post master but he is on break. Understandable as it was 1pm. Came back next day 9am. Lined up, got to counter, told to speak to post master. He tells me he’s too busy getting stock out and then wants to have a break. So asks me to come back later. One star service.
