The very worst letting agents ever.
I bought one of their properties with the tenant insitu because they're friends an family of ours. The tenants was served a section 21 notice giving 2 months to vacate the property after living there for 9 years. So I made enquiries with pearson an ferrier the auction company and got the ball rolling. So at this point I phoned homeland to get them to reassure the tenant that she wouldn't have to leave property. Simply enough request until I made contact with Nicole. The worst person I've ever ever had to deal with she's disgusting no basic manners or customer service skills she doesn't even want to tell you her name over the phone.

Any after about 12 phone calls over 3 months she still insisted that the tenant was still being evicted. Can you imagine that feeling thinking you've got no where to live. When the house is being bought by a family friend.
If that wasn't bad enough Nicole insisted the tenant pay a full month's rent 10 days before the contracts exchanged on the house. So now it's my turn I've been fobbed off now for 2 months over the 19 days rent they owe me. Every time I phone Nicole up it's nothing but lies she tells me, saying it's other people that owe me the money. But I'm not giving up I'm coming to homeland for the money.

Stay away! Liars. Never fix anything. Had to report them on a few occasions just to make them do the basics. House has mold and an entire wall drips when it rains. I’ve gotten an electric shock off one of the light switches. They wanted me to pay for the gas inspection, when I refused they raised the rent. Tiny bald guy has mini man syndrome and is always verbally aggressive and he even stepped up to get in my face to try to intimidate me into talking “nicer” to him. The women will go out of their way to make every situation worse. Report them to citizens advice and trading standards for anything and everything they do wrong. It’s the only thing that will get them to change their ways.

Do not rent with these people. They do not return renters calls or emails. They are Rude when they do reply. One of the guys there is a total bully! He forgot to have my gas inspection in the time frame given to him by the law or whatever. He took this issue out on me. Sending me a letter saying we will be there tomorrow at this time. When I called and said no I won’t be in he will need to make arrangements with me like a normal person he started screaming at the top of his lungs we will just use our keys and enter the property without you. I said my dogs won’t allow that and you’re not within your right. He said il bring the dog warden with me to take the dogs. After he got an earful, the appointment was carried out at a time and date I choose. But the fact that they think they can get away with treating people like that is ridiculous.

Stay away!! After 2 viewings and going to the office for a meeting with Philip. He assured me the land was ours and once emptied we could give a deposit and sign the lease. He made us wait for 2 months and then said they decided to go with someone else. Although, I met the requirements and had given an application and was assured the land would be available to me.

Would give 0, if I could!! Go to anyone, but Homeland!

❌ Poor service, time wasters, stay clear! ❌

Avoid if at all possible.

Having rented one of their 'flats' for the last six months I have had nothing but trouble form Homelands estate agents. To start, they have not repaired any of the faults to the property highlighted by myself in the inspection that took place shortly after I entered the property, including electrical faults that put both myself and fellow tenants in danger. This is despite me contacting them several times to remind them of the unaddressed faults.

Alongside this, they have a completely inept accounts team that has tried to take my direct debit payment twice in one month (causing me to incur charges for being overdrawn) as well as sending me letters suggesting that I owe them rent when I was in fact in credit.

The building I live in is dilapidated and in serious need of renovation, something homelands is completely unwilling to enguage in. panes of glass in the communal areas of the property still have their dimensions written in the center of the pane showing that they were not even cleaned once after installation.

Overall Homelands is alternatively dangerously incompetent and willfully malicious.

AVOID!

Avoid.... I live at Ethel street hatthershaw Oldham and the house I'm in is riddled in damp and mould my son has been suffering with coughs and colds respiratory problems in and out off the doctor's for the past couple off weeks. I've got leaks in my bedroom and kitchen holes everywhere the full house is all botched up nothing ever been done to it to completion. All works on this house is been a quick fix it needs full refurbishment. There's holes under the stairs bedroom wall and mice coming in its like torture here, If anyone wants to come and see my house they can. I've had to start getting letters from my doctor's because off my son's illness to hopefully try and get us out. I'm full off anxiety and feeling depressed here. Hopefully I will be out very soon. Had to give 1 star didn't I because it doesn't let you give not put one

LANDLORDS AVOID NOW! I have never rented with this company, nor would I ever, but have had plenty of contact with them concerning their various tennants. I do not have anything good to say about this company. I have rang up many times to complain about their various noisy tennants, who im pretty sure arent vetted, and the woman who answered may as well have said 'listen, I dont care, now F**! off'. They never check on their properties! I mean they had squatters in there for months and never even knew until I told them! Dont put your property in the hands of these incompetent people! They will let people ruin your house!
