Just popped in to post a parcel. They were really helpful and pleasant.
The shop is now a gift shop as well and it has lovely cards and unusual gifts.
After many years this has become a friendly local post office with opening hours to suit everybody.

The Post Office is now under new management. With this new management there are many positive changes; a gift shop included in the premises, a brighter and more inviting looking property, much longer opening hours. Perhaps the most important change is the friendliness and helpfulness nature of the staff. They go out of their way to help and make the whole process much more pleasant. I post a lot of items and would highly recommend a visit.

The post office is now under new management and it's a totally different place. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and it's very rare that I need to wait for more than a couple of minutes to be served, even if there's a queue, as the staff are so efficient. It's particularly helpful that they are now open until 5.30pm on Thursdays which was an early closing day previously. An altogether brighter, friendlier place.

Someone gave it one star because of a queue? Before this Post Mistress took over, one needn’t worry about a queue! I have been helped “above and beyond” more than I can remember.

Take no notice of reviews over a year old as this is now under new management and a totally different business. The previous owners were dreadful and the shop a mess. Its very pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a shame that negative reviews from before they took over affect their overall rating.

I use to use the one in Fulwood but it closed, so i tried this one as its closest. I was selling a lot of stuff on e.bay a few months ago so i use to come in with loads of boxes. The old woman use to look at me every time i entered the shop with a look of utter disgust and was very rude to talk too, no customer service at all. I more recently came in to renew my security license as the Government body dose it via the post office on the computer. She just looked at me like i was an Alien talking in another language and said "try a bigger post office we do not do Licenses here". I came in the other day having had to wait out side for 30 mins as only 2 are aloud in the shop due to COVID-19. I then took my Parcel to her with the pre paid QR code on my phone with all the information needed. All she had to do was scan the QR code or type the Reference number into her computer and print the label and take the pre paid Parcel. Because she said no and i wasted an hour of my life dealing with that awful post office. I have Decided to try the one in Cross Pool where there are young people that work there and know how to use a computer.
