A surprisingly delightful stop with amazing accessibility and stunning views!

This lay-by is an absolute gem! I wasn’t expecting much more than a place to stretch my legs, but it completely exceeded all expectations.

The wheelchair access is genuinely excellent — smooth, level surfaces, no awkward bumps or kerbs, and plenty of room for turning and maneuvering. It’s clearly been designed with accessibility in mind, which was a huge and very welcome surprise.

The views are beautiful in every direction — open countryside, peaceful fields, and a real sense of calm. It’s the kind of place where you just want to pause for a moment and take it all in.

And the best part? Daisy Made Farm (a brilliant ice-cream parlour!) is just a short walk away. The path is flat and easy to navigate, and the ice cream is absolutely worth the stop — loads of flavours, generous scoops, and great for families.

Honestly, this lay-by turned out to be one of the highlights of our journey. Clean, accessible, scenic, and conveniently located — I’d go out of my way to stop here again!
