Terrible service!

I have booked a collection 3 times! Each day the driver does not turn up to collect it and marks the tracking number as "Parcel not ready". Then they try to charge you £6.00 to rearrange the collection? Sack the management!

Are the managers here that thick that they think that customers arrange for a collection 3 times in one week for the same parcel and each time we do not have it ready? Time to question your lazy drivers guys!!. Shameful service.

Parcel sent from a regular supplier with the same delivery details as always. Sent on the 27th arrived at the Lincoln depot at 04:30 on the 28th it was needed for a job on Friday 30th so we thought they have 2 days to deliver it brilliant.....

Now it seems to be stuck in the warehouse. With a scan every morning since saying in warehouse. This morning is the same.

No number to call the depot and unblock this. Online BS does nothing.

Ridiculous.

This is the Main Lincoln Transport Hub, you can drop off packages here but they don't normally give a receipt or scan your package in to their system unless asked

But will give you a photo copy of the package if requested, the chap in the front office is very helpful and if he's on duty he will scan your package in if asked

Very poor service sadly.
Things started off reasonably when I received an email to communicate that the parcel was to be delivered on a particular day. As this was not convenient I used the option to alter the delivery day.
A confirmation email followed acknowledging the change.
The next day a further email arrived letting me know that my parcel would be delivered the following day which was not what I had specified. Consequently the delivery was missed and returned to the depot. Eventually the parcel was delivered on the specified day along with an another unexpected parcel.
It turns out that an operative had stuck our change of delivery notification over the address label of another house on the same street.
Giving the benefit of doubt it might be very busy and easily done but a simple lack of concentration inconvenienced two customers at the same time.
Not satisfactory.

Complete joke of a service. After paying for overnight shipping on a Thursday they only email me on the following Monday saying their driver needs security access despite there being no necessary security access and no one even coming up to the gate all day for 5 days. Finally call them on the Thursday and tell them this they say it'll be delivered on Friday. Nothing happens all day. I call them and again explain the situation and they say it'll come back on now the following Monday. Monday morning the doorbell goes; I'm walking out to open the gate and the driver just drives off despite me shouting and waving at him. I call them back and despite previously telling me they can't just call me now they said it was always an option. However, despite a measly phone call to say it'll be redelivered later that day it wasn't.

No where on their pathetic UPS app that they want you download does it offer the choice to explain what's happening and after recalling to ask them to just drop it off at an access point within my area the next day they subtly on the app say it'll be delivered to an access point over 30 mins away. I call them and confirm this and at this stage I'm so irate I just say ok leave it there I'll go; drive all the way there and they tell me it hasn't even been delivered.

My recommendations:
1) Update their app to include other options to improve communication or options to change/reschedule/re-route
2) Make sure their drivers communicate with the recipient for smoother points of delivery on both the delivery and receiving end
3) Bridge the gap between the local delivery service and the customer service representatives as there is a huge disconnect by what they can offer or communicate to you.

In it's current state I will NEVER want to use UPS again.

Just had a package just chucked over a 6ft fence,cos there was nobody in at the time.left a note saying garden, wouldn't have been so bad if they had lowered it carefully over fence but lthey didn't was chucked,been on the phone to UPS head office and have lodged an official complaint,but looking at the rest of the reviews for this company don't think we shall here any more. I have also notified the person who sent parcel,he says he will be on the phone as well, he did quite a bit if business through UPS but think he'll be looking to change. The said parcel contained electrical gear which fortunately was well packaged and the item still works, if it hadn't think I would be phoning solicitor
