I contacted Ben at late notice about a move from Teddington to Putney. With very little notice he organised a superb team to complete a two day pack and move. From start to finish the guys on both days were highly punctual, very professional and there were no issues throughout. A stressful time was made very stress free thanks to Ben and the team. Edited to respond to their response. We have a full paper trail. We have no dolls. The damaged goods are art deco ceramics. We tried to assist them when we discovered they were not insured. We offered to accept a small cash payment if they removed a small item from our old garage. They paid the cash but refused to pick up the small item. This was our first and last time we would deal with them. We asked for no further work. Sterling moves are a company to avoid. We made the mistake of using them to move home. Their proprietor did a survey of our apartment and gave his estimate. It was so obviously wrong. I called him and he revised it without revisiting the apartment. His written estimate, which we accepted, included three trucks. Three turned up but only two were usable as the third was full of someone else's possessions. The written estimate also included provision of wardrobe boxes. None turned up, to the surprise of those packing for us. He confirmed in writing that he was fully insured.
Some of the items THEY packed arrived damaged, as did multiple items of furniture, the mover who damaged one told my son he just had to fix it with some wood glue even though the wood finish was ripped off the drawers. The proprietor then wrote to us to say he was not insured. The move took longer than he estimated, we had to pay the extra. His staff did part of the packing, 2 men for a full day, and they confirmed to us that the broken items (art deco ceramics) were packed by them. A majority of the actual move was subcontracted to another company and there were various disagreements between the two companies during the move along with a language barrier, and very heavy-handed handling of boxes and furniture including reckless overloading of the small lift.

Excellent service and value from Ben and his team, led by Nathan in our case. Ben responded swiftly to the initial inquiry and we arranged for him to do a survey for the quote. Once we had accepted the quote they guided us through their process (ordering of boxes from their preferred supplier etc). We had a few large items for disposal and they were able to accommodate that as well. Even when the builders had left us with a mountain of builder's materials they agreed to remove that before the move, which was a great relief. We had lots of stairs down the old flat and up to the new flat, but no one complained, instead they organised the stairs cleverly into sections between them and made it look easy. Easily the best moving experience I have had, I can only recommend Ben and team.
