The new website and back-end booking experience leaves a lot to be desired.

We landed 25 minutes ahead of schedule, and the driver called me while we had literally just landed on the runway saying they were there. We booked the taxi using the flight number, so it must have updated him to arrive sooner - we still had to disembark, passport control and collect bags. I don't know why we were so rushed the second we landed.

He then told us it said we had no bags, but it forces you to put in the number of bags and passengers, and the flight details - you can't leave it blank. So this piece of information didn't come through on the booking. Confused, we moved as quick as we could off the flight.

Regardless, a flight scheduled to land at 21:15, landed at 20:50, and miraculously we were through passport control, and baggage claim, within 20 minutes. We called the driver 3 times to give him the update that we'd landed, passport done, and bags done. He instructed to wait by a cash point near Costa - of which there are many.

We waited by one, the one nearest the door, expecting him to come down the lift, for 10 minutes, with no driver to be seen. There was no driver with a sign when we arrived. I call again. He comes from the other direction, saying hes been trying to call me through the app but on the international routing number that the app uses to provide my calls to him. It obviously didn't go through. Later when we get in the car, he tests a different method and it works.

As a result of the automation of the flight booking scheduler, and the inability of the driver knowing how to call us back to meet, we have been stung with the excess parking fees / waiting time, yet we were on time.

We then spent the majority of the journey hearing how terrible the app is and how the parking is extra and how cars haven't been showing up for bookings. I called up when I got home and received the invoice and was made to feel like everything was my fault - despite following instructions throughout, but being derailed by an booking system that couldn't do the basics.

I like Zedcars but until this gets sorted out I can't confidently recommend them, there's too many variables with the new experience for the service to be reliable.

Syed was waiting for me at Boots in Arrivals at Heathrow (as agreed) after I had collected my bags even though my flight had arrived early. Very polite & friendly, assisted with my bags. Good run home. Would recommend.

Phoned from kingston hospital on th free phone, the lady was polite and said the car would be about 10 minutes. Walked out and went and sat down, my phone pinged to let me know the car was on it way. The driver walked over to me and clarified he was the driver. Very considerate after a stressful day with my mum at the hospital
