We used GBS to move us and store our furniture over a 4 month period. From start to finish, they did a superb job for us. Every GBS person we dealt with was friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us. Communication from the admin team was fab. Our move was pain-free and our furniture and furnishings came out of storage without any damage or breakage. The removal teams were really hardworking over their four days with us, and really friendly.
GBS are a top team and we are grateful to them for making our house move so positive! We happily recommend them.

Having previously used GBS I did not hesitate to contact them again.
I initially contacted them to arrange an estimator who attended and provided an itemised price list with options to add on additional services.
I took the full packing service, late key waivers and extra insurance incase of a cancellation.
The packing team arrived the day before and looked after our possessions with great care which made for a stress free move.
They returned the next day and loaded the rest. So I could build wardrobes back up in an empty room they even loaded it on last and offloaded it first.
The office staff were fantastic too with arranging the moving date.
I cannot fault the team or the price.
I would 100% recommend them and if I move again I will be using their services !

Superb service from start to finish. Steven visited our house and took a detailed inventory of everything we had to move. Lorna dealt with the quotations promptly, and, went above and beyond to arrange a moving date that coincided with our buyers. And finally, the crew on the day were amazing. They were careful with our furniture and goods, and very careful not to damage our house we were moving out of, or the new one we moved into. Large pieces of furniture were wrapped and protected, as were carpets.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The whole team from Britannia removals Hexham are fantastic. They were very professional, extremely hard working but also very friendly with a nothings too much trouble attitude. I used their packing service, I was amazed by how quickly they packed everything. It was extremely well packed and nothing was damaged. It was the best money I have ever spent.

We had to put our house contents in storage for 5 months and after asking friends and family this company came highly recommended by all so we went with them and the experience was excellent Amy Pentland runs a tight ship and is a great communicator keeping us informed at all times and advising us all the way through the process , the crew who carried out the process were excellent and very knowledgeable and professional and respectful using protective equipment where necessary. The team at Britannia GBS in Hexham was professional, helpful and cheerful at every stage of the process. We were facing a big move. After 17 years in Northumberland we were relocating to South West Cheshire (190 miles away) at the age of 66. We obtained quotes from several firms but were delighted that our local one came in cheaper. We were absolutely exhausted by the time we reached moving day but the team carried us through. We have way more boxes that your average retired couple but the team was cheerful and efficient, especially Alan and David who were with us for all 3 days of the move. The weather for the drop off was rubbish for a lot of the time but they stuck at it through wind and rain. Stephen and Lorna were very helpful with the initial arrangements too.
When you haven’t moved for 17 years, there’s a lot you realise you have forgotten or didn’t know in the first place. Thanks again to everyone.

We have used George Bernard Shaw to store our surplus belongings for many years. They are truly a company where the customer's needs come first. They are a delight to do business with and take away the hassle and worry of looking after possessions that you're not yet ready to dispose of. The front office, warehouse and delivery staff are all helpful, courteous and a joy to deal with.
We recently needed to relocate our belongings which we thought we'd do ourselves but at the last minute changed our minds because the quotation we got from GBS was so reasonable. It was less than hiring a van for two days plus it came with two men to do all the hard work. The move was dead on time and went without any problems at all. What a bonus and a great way to leave a storage and removal facility.

Downsizing and moving 200 miles by myself (family help was in driving me down and unpacking) so packing service invaluable. All the staff worked hard and there was no problem in dropping some items off at daughter's house a few streets away before main unloading.
