Having lived in our Crowborough house for 55 years, we have just endured a whole week (Monday to Saturday) without any post at all. This is most unusual for us, as normally we'd get some post every day. If we get no post for a day or two, it usually means our excellent postie, Andy, is ill, away on well-deserved holiday, or his van has broken down again. This time, I hope it's not the first reason, but it's annoying to see no one delivering for a whole week. Luckily we aren't expecting any legal or important papers, but the no-show of my Radio Times, due last Tuesday, is at least inconvenient, if not the most dramatic of losses.. People on the Warren were complaining, some months ago, of having no post for a fortnight. That's pretty disgraceful for a supposed universal service. It's all very well trying to keep up with the big boys and concentrate on parcels, but some of us believe in Royal Mail as it was before it was stupidly privatised. I'm going to try to phone and find out what's going on, but the number looks like a general number, so some 'advisor' will probably have no clue as to where Crowborough is or what is going on. For goodness' sake recruit, and preferably people who take a pride in the job, like our own postie does, or Royal Mail will sink forever. Oh, and the thought of 'first class' rising by 30p to £1.65 in October is grim, knowing that even if I post a letter first class on a Friday, nobody will bother to come out on a Saturday in future, so my first class fee will result in a second class service. I despair.

Absolutely useless, deliver post once a week when it used to be daily or every other day at most. Recieve important letters dated from weeks ago. Postman are more worried about finishing early and getting in wethspoons for beer than actually doing a job. P.s buy them some trousers they look like bellends in shorts in the winter.

My (next day) tracked parcel arrived at Crowborough S.O. at 7:56am Thursday for delivery that day. Still not received it yet & it's Saturday.

States that this is open 4 to 7 pm on Thursdays this is absolutely rubbish and I’ve wasted my time as I went at 1610 and this office is closed
