Two things to be wary of: the spaces in the tarmaced car park are small and if you overhang you'll get fined £50. Even a saloon like a 5 series BMW is bigger than the space. And watch out for the app (Just Park) because it can overcharge. The actual price is £3 for 2 hours or £6 all day but you can't just choose one of those on the app. You have to choose how long you want to stay and it automatically adjusts but it gets it wrong. So you can pay £6 but it only gives you 2 hours. Check and double check before you pay otherwise you'll think you've paid for the day when you haven't.
There is a grassy car park you can go in if you don't fit in the tarmaced car park spaces. The field is on a slope and the grass is long. But it is close to the toilets and cafe. The people on site looking after the car parks are really friendly and helpful and deserve 5 stars.

Best car park at Charmouth opposite the Heritage centre not the larger one to the side. Larger one took our cash and cancelled the transaction. Two pound short on cash returned. Best car park you can pay by card. £6 pound for the day. Alot cheaper than at Lyme Regis. £7.50 for 4 hours.searching for fossils at Charmouth you can go left and right down the beach.

Beautiful views down the Jurassic Coast. Clearly marked bays with grass surface so only open part of the year because of the weather. Next to the Heritage Centre so great if coming down for the fossil walks. Car Park gets very busy in the summer recommend coming down before 1100 to get a good spot.

Great carpark nexto the beach BUT!
No way to pay by machines!
20mins of stressed kids trying to get enough Internet to pay via JUST PARK APP.
No other way!
Had to help other parkers pay as they had no Internet!
Having to give Google pay all your details to be able to pay.
Now,, days after... justPark and Google harassing me for more info and promotions despite requested no further sign up to promotions! POOR SHOW!
If you need to modernise ok,,, but to what extent?
Nice place though and a lovely day,, £6 on the board all day,, cant complain! £6.12 via app

Advice: get the app before arrival and code for the carpark to pay & hope they have a space!
