I visited this B&M on Monday 17th March 2025 at approximately 9PM, and it was one of the worst retail experiences I've had. The store is clearly mismanaged. Numerous items lacked price tags or had incorrect prices (See images) and staff were dismissive when I raised these issues, simply telling me to check prices at the till. The checkout line was excessively long, with only one till operational. Compounding the problem, a recalled cereal multipack was still on the shelf, causing further delays when it wouldn't scan. The lack of proactive problem-solving from both staff and management is unacceptable. Head office needs to intervene and address the serious operational deficiencies at this store.

Hi, I wanted to bring to your attention that B&M in Dagenham has been closed by a health inspector due to a significant issue with rat droppings found in the store. However, the notice on the window claims the closure is due to an IT failure. Which lie to the customers

Rat droppings are not just an unsightly nuisance; they pose serious health risks to customers shopping in stores. These droppings can carry diseases such as hantavirus, leptospirosis, and salmonella, which can be transmitted to humans through direct contact or contamination of food and surfaces. This is especially concerning in a retail environment where food products may be exposed to contaminated areas, putting customers at risk.

Additionally, B&M is cutting hours and pressuring managers to work without being clocked in, which has resulted in daily delivery issues. There are pallets of stock left outside, and the warehouse is a complete mess. It’s concerning that they’re focusing on facing the products instead of addressing these serious problems, which creates a false image of the company."

Retailers like B&M should focus not only on how products are displayed but also on the overall cleanliness and organization of the entire store. While it may be tempting to prioritize the aesthetics of product placement, this can create a misleading impression of cleanliness and safety. Observations have shown that B&M staff often concentrate on facing products to make them look appealing rather than ensuring that the shelves are clean and free from dirt. Saturday afternoon store is packed no trolleys and 2 baskets its 30 degrees and no air-conditioning or fans seem to be working pity the staff. 10 staff stacking the shelves and 2 on tills queues right up the aisles. Open more tills and turn on fans and maybe invest in some more.trolleys and baskets. It's a bit silly queueing for 20 mins when there are tills closed and staff on shopfloor

Well I'm disabled so I need someing to help me walk so I use there shopping trolley but there was none out in there trolley rail i asked the security where they where he said that i would have to go get one he was just standing / leaning up against the rail in side the shop nice man this happened ar 13.00 I have to use my walking stick to get around and a security garden to tell me to go look for a trolley nice what a shop

I wonder if anyone has made their complaint to citizens advice so it can be forwarded to trading standards, got a carpet cleaner and it was faulty, got a replacement which had parts missing and wasn't given a replacement receipt. Went in there a third time to get refund as I was getting tired of wasting my time. Then the Indian lady tells me she can't do anything as I don't have a replacement receipt. Which by law I'm not required to have and if it's policy the staff should be trained on it rather than customer being told it's their responsibility to ask for replacement receipts. Which clearly is not a part of any statutes of the consumer act 2015.
To anyone reading this, please ensure if you have a complaint you report it to citizens advice.
As it is borderline illegal to deny customer a refund for a member of not following policy, which by the way doesn't exist on the company refund policy page!

Every time I go here there is usually 1 member of staff on tills and a queue. Surely, more than 1 person should be on tills during peak times. I felt so bad for them as I know what it's like to be 1 person stuck behind a till with a growing queue and no colleagues about or willing to help get it down.
B&M Dagenham, please help your staff and have more than 1 person on tills during peak time.

Other than that, I can't fault anything.

Bad customer service and items aren't priced the same as lable or online and when I showed the person at the check out they said oh sorry that's for the old (one on display) one when it's the exact same product just in a flat pack.
