This place sees thousands of brand new cars on a regular basis. They either arrive or depart from here, directed to all over the world.
The job of driving these new cars onto or off the ships, is very unstable. They offer zero hours contracts and therefore they only call you when they need you. Shifts go from 3 to 15 hours and the job itself is extremely boring. The only interesting part is getting to see the ships from inside.

I'm a transporter driver that delivered a vehicle here for the 1st time...staff were really helpful from the lady "on the gate" to those inside...procedures & paperwork were explained to me by another man...I didn't catch his name unfortunately & the chap checking in the cars introduced himself & shook my hand..so for me it was a good drop & appreciated the understanding/information & kindness from these people that will help me when I go here again👍

health and safety nightmare, was told to walk on a road to get to induction instead of just opening 1 door, totally incompetant hse was very rude and didnt care he was putting visittors lives at risk. hse on this site needs re training like alot of the other parts of Southampton docks..
