Wish I could rate lower to be honest!
I visited recently with a very ordinary request to be met with a rude, unfriendly and derogating attitude by the staff who stated they simply didn't have the time (there was no one else waiting in the shop).
The staff at The Beehive Post Office managed to complete my request with ease and friendliness therefore I will not be using the Winter Hey Lane post office again.
Very disappointing.

I went into today to pick up a parcel. These guys seem to get a bad rep for their customer service. I can't speak for others but my experience they were down to earth and friendly. It came up in conversation they are having issues with their landline phone knocking out there computer link up when called. They have reported the issue to their head office and BT sorting it. So don't call just walk in, it would help them out. We should speak more about the good interactions with these guys They seem to me to be trying their best, let's not be so quick to complain when we think it's not good enough. Balance is important ?

The customer service in this post office is non existent and utterly unacceptable. I have just waited beind an elderly lady who seemed to have a rather complicated banking query. The staff member serving her was so unhelpful and arrogant that I had to intervene. I told him that there was no need to be so rude to which he anwered that if I could do better, perhaps I should take his place. He obviously doesn't enjoy his job. Perhaps it's time for a change?

Called up multiple times on different occasions as a parcel I ordered 48hr tracked is still showing as in their shop for 4 days now, each time I’ve called I’ve been met with 2 different but very similarly rude & passive aggressive Pakistani men who I assume find it easier to deal with people this way than actually do their job, this is the worst form of customer service I have ever received and all because they’ve either lost or not scanned my parcel at their shop, very disappointing I would avoid at all costs,
Also on a side note, the amount of awful reviews and they still have these clowns working in the post office upsetting its customers, it’s completely disgusting but Royal Mail please let’s not give any disciplinary because everybody on here may just be racist and not pointing out an obvious problem in this shop

If your going to state your open until 5.30pm then don’t be shut at 5.20pm.., rushed from
Work to be able to get to the post office before it shut for it to be shut BEFORE the time it stated.!! Thanks for that what an absolute joke.!!

I've avoided it for years purely due to their rudeness, islamic hostility and unfriendly service. I was mistakenly told by someone else on an assumption the other week that they have changed for the better in recent times, so I've returned back today to try it out, as I was already within the area. But nothing have changed at all. Clerk was unfriendly from the start, he didn't even bother to scan my QR code through the glass screen when I showed it like others branches do, but insisting an awkward method. Unpleasant tone, poor eye contact, rude demeanor and no smile at all as he chucked the receipt back afterwards. Is it cos my service was prepaid? I felt disrespected as a local but happy to rise above them. The fact that I've avoided it for years have been justified! Anywhere but there next time!

I have been a regular customer at Winterhey Lane Post Office for many years, relying on their services for mailing parcels abroad and local mailings. However, my recent visit left me deeply disappointed with the overall experience.

Today, I went to the post office to deposit money for a charity account, using a paying-in card that was unfamiliar to me. I explained this upon arrival, and though I had properly counted and bagged the coins, notes, and a cheque, the counter worker didn't seem pleased to handle it. He proceeded to slam the money bags around, making it clear he was unhappy with the task.

Feeling uneasy about the situation, I asked if it was inconvenient to deposit the money at that moment. He grumbled something about "doing it this once only" and eventually completed the transaction. However, the whole encounter left me feeling disrespected and disappointed in the level of service provided.

I expressed my decision not to use their counter service or the post office altogether. Customer service is crucial, and if employees are unhappy working with the public, they should reconsider their career choices. I hope the staff member in question reflects on their behavior and strives to create a more positive environment for both customers and coworkers.

Sharing my experience is essential so that others are aware of the service they may encounter at this post office. I hope my feedback contributes to improvements in their overall customer experience.
