I paid for parking – and they still tried to fine me. Avoid at all costs.

I had a genuinely frustrating experience with Total Parking Solutions after visiting Wicksteed Park in February 2025. I paid for parking and even have the bank statement to prove it. Despite providing this evidence, they’ve insisted on issuing a fine – first £30, now threatening £80 – claiming I didn't pay.

Their so-called "appeals process" is a joke. They ignored the evidence, assumed user error without proof, and are now aggressively demanding payment for something I clearly already paid for. Judging by other reviews, this seems to be a pattern of behaviour.

It’s such a shame, because this experience has completely put me off ever returning to Wicksteed Park. I would expect better from a family attraction than to work with a parking company known for targeting genuine paying customers with automated fines.

I got the parking ticket for them, but myself I have all the proof’s that day I was 8 ours away from the location they sent me the letter.
Definitely is a scam i don’t think so it’s really.
But definitely I will sue them for the scam company.

Fined me twice now for parking at a hospital even though the car has an exemption given by hospital trust.

The phone staff try to use bully tactics and simply do not care.

Each time the trust has quashed the fine. While I can not tell you what to do I suggest you all waste their time with subject access requests and where possible fight their fines.

Very disappointed by this company. Paid my parking charge when I parked in their car park and got a PCN. I sent them proof of my payment and they still insisted I pay a part of the fine. Seems like they are a dishonest bunch or just do t bother to check and hope the other person is too busy or overawed by them to argue.

Our son working for a charity parked in New Cross Shopping centre. Despite inputting his VRM into the computer system to exempt it from charges he was sent a penalty notice for £60. Despite numerous phone calls and emails and being told the penalty notice would be on hold while it was investigated. Total parking solutions pass on the debt onto ZZPS a debt collection company. The amount owing now £170. Totally dishonest and illegal to say one thing and do another. The fine has been paid. Absolute crooks. We have legal insurance cover and will be taking this further.

It’s a scam company that puts up tiny signs inside well known shops, deliberately trying to mislead people into thinking the car park belongs to the big name retailers. I wouldn’t be surprised if the shops are getting a cut from the parking fines. I’ll pay the £60 as a contribution to their future coffin.

Beware: the appeals process doesn't work for this company. I made an appeal well within the timeframe using their website (the only way they accept appeals). After receiving a letter from a debt collection company I contacted TPS who refused to accept I made an appeal. According to them they don't have it. So when your screen says Appeal submitted - take a photo / screenshot of it. It will be the only evidence you have that you submitted an appeal!

A tiny sign on the way into the car park that you cant read from your car. Clearly on purpose. £60 fine. Didnt even know there was parking restrictions in thta car park but thats exactly how they want it.
