This place is AMAZING. We couldn't compliment this place more if we tried. Excellent, helpful and riendly staff who go out their way to make your stay a fantastic experience. Immaculate everywhere.. Fabulous and huge room with the most amazing bathroom and stunning views over the bay. The sunrises were stunning. Delicious breakfast with great selection . We ate dinner here on valentines day and the menu was perfect, the food not only delicious, but perfectly presented. Cocktails made to order and affordable and super tasty. Plenty of options for rooms to relax in if you wanted some quite time away from the restrauntor bar. We especially loved the room with the pool table. A very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.|Dog friendly which just added to our joy of staying here.|We would definately recommend staying here, and I'd love to go back.

I was moved to the Western Isles Hotel proactively due to overrunning maintenance at a sister property. I’m grateful for this move, as I feel other hotels may have just cancelled the booking - showed they cared and avoided last minute issues.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm and friendly, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that made the place feel homely.

Dinner was of good quality and served in a lovely setting. Prices were reasonable, and the Chicken Balmoral was tasty — I’d definitely recommend it. Breakfast was also good, with all the essentials covered. The only issue to note is that it finishes at 09:30, which may feel a little early for some (including me!).

The room was clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like bottled water and locally made, good-quality toiletries that added to the experience.

There’s free parking available, though when I returned late at night, the hotel’s car park was full. Luckily, there’s plenty of free parking nearby – just bear in mind the hotel is at the top of a hill. I drive an electric car, and while EV charging is available at the hotel, the chargers were in use at the time, and the price listed for the slow home-style charger seemed quite steep compared to the public fast chargers available on the island. I hope this steep price is justified with the costs of running it as a small business etc?

Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay. The Western Isles Hotel has lots of charm, a beautiful setting, and a genuinely friendly team who make you feel well looked after. I’d happily stay again.

Excellent hotel with huge rooms and lovely views. The beds were comfortable and the pillows excellent. We were lucky to have a huge bathroom with a heated towel rack and a separate bath. The breakfast menu was excellent and the coffee very good. Staff friendly and helpful.

We had a pleasant lunch at the restaurant at the Western Isles Hotel and really enjoyed the experience. The highlight was definitely the stunning view over Tobermory Bay – a perfect setting for a relaxing meal.

The food was good – well-prepared and tasty, though not exceptional. It was definitely satisfying, with a nice variety of options to choose from.

The service was friendly and the staff made an effort to ensure we were taken care of. While there were moments when they seemed a bit unsure, they were genuinely kind and eager to assist.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable visit, and we would happily return for another meal while taking in the beautiful surroundings.

This hotel has really gone downhill since it has been under new ownership.|We used to love coming here for relaxing breaks ,great views and good food.|The hotel is no longer relaxing, very noisy at night, especially when the film club is on ( Friday nights ) the atmosphere is awful, dogs barking at you, loose in the reception, on entry.|Rude manager, awful food ( frozen brake brothers) expensive overpriced wine.|The revamp has meant taking out the nice period features and replacing the baths with clunky showers that don’t work properly and filthy plastic windows. It is very sad that such a lovely old hotel should be so badly “renovated” the whole atmosphere had gone.|It is also really cold in the bedrooms and if you are staying for more than one night the towels don’t get changed and the very boring menu stays the same. There are no chefs in the kitchen to modify the frozen meals either.|It was such a disappointment staying here.

I'll be back! And hopefully for longer! One of my favourite places, hotel and location❤️ road trip with my partner and doggy and we had the best time. Beautiful attic room, with sun shining on my face as I woke. The most magnificent breakfast experience as the views are unbeatable on a lovely sunny morning (one of my fav memories). The vibe continues throughout; the drawing room, games room with pool table/darts/cool music, the lovely wee bar and the view from the terrace. I'm home and sad.

The most amazing view from the conservatory restaurant perched high above Tobermory. Food was good too. My husband had the curry and I had the langoustines. My dessert was delicious but more lemony that the lime and mint tart on the menu.|Not as keen on the compulsory 13.5% service charge.

Western Isles Hotel, outstanding in everyday, truly is a gem. Had the best time. A warm welcome on arrival, Bryan and his team were so accommodating, as we got married in Tobermory. They made our wedding day so very special for us. Can't thank them enough. We both did not want to leave. We will be back next year or sooner. We love it, just fabulous a special place in our hearts.
