5/5 Stars – Small Shop, Big Vibes, Double Caffeine Hit

Strolled into the Tobermory store thinking I’d grab a quick coffee… walked out buzzing like a bagpipe at a ceilidh after two back-to-back cups of pure caffeinated heaven. Honestly, the coffee here is so good I briefly considered pitching a tent outside just to be closer to the source.

The staff? Absolutely lovely—friendly, helpful, and somehow managed to talk to me like a normal person even while I was clearly vibrating from caffeine overload. They know their stuff and are more than happy to chat beans, brews, and what blend will best launch you into orbit (in a good way).

And for such a small shop, the selection is brilliant! Beans, merch, gear—you name it. It’s like Mary Poppins’ coffee cupboard: just keeps giving. You think you’ve seen everything, then bam, more cool stuff tucked into a corner like a caffeine-themed treasure chest.

If you’re in Tobermory and don’t go here, you’ve made a mistake. Possibly a life-altering one. Go. Get the coffee. Maybe get two. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing sounds.

Cannot recommend this shop highly enough. Not only can you get amazing local produce, there’s an amazing range of baked goods and deserts made in house! Great local coffee also made with Isle of Mull roasted coffee. The staff are super friendly and helpful always have a nice wee chat with them. Since moving up, I’ve been in most days. A really solid shop, definitely visit if you are up here!

I was surprised for a starter that this place was open on a Sunday, as most places weren’t. I was also surprised at the great gluten free range! From stuff you can buy prepackaged to fresh! They had a choice of two fresh GF pies and two fresh GF sweet treats. They were incredible the pie and jam tart, that we ended up buying. I’d definitely come here again

Great little shop with more than you could ever expect! Great vegan options both in grocery and in takeaway food (2 vegan pasties, sausage roll and vegan option for toasties), lovely coffee, lovely staff, what more could ya want! Be aware that they do close at 5pm in winter months rather than 6 like it says on Google.

Very friendly staff, dogs are more than welcome. Good selection of vegan and gluten free stuff. I loved the locally made pies and sausage rolls - apple & sage the winner!

Got 2 pizzas a kebab and cakes on Friday night to take back to our boat. We live locally so know the shop well.
Pizzas we're PACKED with toppings, my wife's vegan pizza was covered in loads of cheese which generally you don't get with vegan cheese because of the price!

Lovely wee grocery shop that offers fresh foods and some delicious takeaway pastries, also for vegetarians . If it’s a cold day don’t forget to ask what’s soup is on!
Decent prices and highly recommend.

Fab wee shop with the best cookies ever! I recommend any of their cookies (loads of different flavours that change regularly - if you get it warm out the oven that’s a bonus!)

There’s loads of home baking, sweet and savoury, using lots of fresh local produce. Loads of local produce for sale in the shop too! Great stock with lots of more unique items (that you definitely won’t get in the Co-op). Homemade soups, huge variety of hot and cold drinks, fresh toasties, salad bar - it’s got everything! And a great friendly team of staff too.

Definitely recommend visiting Tob Stores if you are up on holiday, or a local!
