The staff on the phone were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. They took my phone calls and quickly tried to resolve my problems. However, we were really disappointed with the facilities themselves and ended up cancelling on the day.

The site is advertised as secure entry, requiring PIN code access into the site, however one of the gates didn’t work and the other gate is permanently kept open to allow people to access businesses on the site! There is a car wash, gym and a car detailing business on site, among others. This wasn’t as described at all and our insurance would be void if anything was to happen. Staff were aware, said it was 9-5 only and CCTV monitored but the businesses are open earlier and later than this, so suspect the gate is never closed.

We booked the largest space they had (100sqft) to store the contents of our 3 bedroom flat as entry into our new house was delayed. It is advertised as being able to store 200-250 moving boxes (staff confirmed medium size) and would be suitable for our needs. While the movers were loading the van we checked the space and it was tiny, there was no way our belongings would fit so in a panic we phoned up to buy a second unit, hoping it would be enough. The staff arranged this quickly over the phone. However, we soon cancelled both units completely and booked with another company which we were happy with.

Customer service was excellent. Outside garage type storage was fine, pretty cold and wasn't 100% convinced everything would stay dry as water would have been able to get under the shutter, but was absolutely fine for a couple of weeks. Also everything was essentially protected just by our own padlock which felt risky, but again fine for short term.

I recently used storage vault to store the contents of my two bed flat. Everyone on the phone was initially great and the price good. However when I turned up to my container I was concerned how close the outdoor units are to the car wash, it seems water could easily rise and enter.

At the end of the two months I returned to find my lock had been removed and my contents been gone through by staff. There was apparently a mix up with storage unit numbers ( I was in 031 and should have been in 31…) but I got different stories from different staff members. My movers told me that lots of people have had issues with them taking off locks and going through belongings. As well as other issues so I wish I had known this when choosing as there are lots of options locally.

I was given a refund for the trouble which I am grateful for but still I don’t feel I can recommend this storage unit to anyone and wanted to warn others of my experience.

simple 24/7 access storage, easy set-up and I've not had any problems in the time I've been using them. lost a star due to shared security fenced area with half a dozen other businesses, but cheaper-than others in town probably reflects that.

Chose Storage Vault Stirling after checking venue and several others. The units are spotlessly clean, the base platform and shared ventilation at top helped the units to stay damp free over winter months. Most of our home furniture was stored and my wife was delighted that nothing was damaged or impacted by damp.
Would certainly use again, if necessary.

They have a 2 week notice period that is a scam to milk the last bit of money out of you.
