Fantastic event, run now for a number of years. Seems to get better every year. Free entry always ensures plenty of people attend. Lots of vantage points all along the beachfront and lots of stalls and shows to see. Weather certainly helps too as it can be pretty windy at times on the beach. Recommend you check the weather before you travel. Show is usually held over 2 days and runs for most of the afternoon. Car parking at the old racecourse can be a little steep in terms of the cost.

Brilliant family day out, first time we’ve been with friends and family and had a great day with lots to do and fantastic plane display. Free event but paid for parking which was really well managed and signed posted. Take chairs to sit on and a beach tent or wind break. We will be going again next year

This review is for the people that run the Facebook group. Not the actual airshows. I commented on a post made by the Scottish International Airshow where they slagged off the council run

International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight

Two separate entities, not to be confused with eachother.

When I pointed out that there was no need to slag off the most recent airshow, I was blocked on Facebook. Very very childish behaviour. It seems like someone's not very happy that hundreds of thousands of people had a fantastic time at the Festival of Flight. No need for sour grapes.

Brilliant display. People were everywhere. Even those at the airport & surrounding areas as well as at the show. Clearer sky's would've been perfect. Good day for all age's. Especially those with cameras
