I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I feel like I have no choice in this situation because I’m very frustrated. I had a watercolor shipped which arrived completely smashed. No packing materials were used at all, only corrugated cardboard and then cardboard taped together as a box. There was no spacing around the picture or bubble wrap or other packing materials so it absorbed every impact in transit.

I waited 21 days from time of pickup for it to be shipped which I thought was adequate time to pack it properly. I received a shipping refund but I wasn't entitled to insurance I was told because it had glass. Anything packed like this would've been destroyed regardless of glass. When I asked why no packing materials were used I didn't receive a reply. I'm now looking at spending hundreds of dollars for a restoration because of negligence.

To answer the reply I received: Why would the 48 hr rule apply to this situation since there was glass? I contacted you the day it arrived. I did not have a problem with the shipping time. I would think at nearly 3 weeks it could be packed properly was my sole point. I would've waited 4 or 5 weeks and beyond if I had to if I knew the job was going to be done right.

Here's something that demonstrates my same point: If you took China Plates and just put them in a box with corrugated cardboard and shipped them; they're going to be more than likely smashed to pieces. I would've gladly paid more money for materials like bubble wrap, Styrofoam, packing peanuts, etc. to prevent 4 hours of picking up pieces of glass with tape, another hour at least of cleanup and dealing with a restoration/reframing now. A few dollars of bubble wrap isn't worth the anxiety and hundreds of dollars of expense. You seem to just avoid my question of why no packing materials were used.

I have used this courier once and will not be using him again. The gent was very rude and arrogant. He collected items from an Auction in the South of England and sent them to my home in the North. The packing was virtually none existent. I would steer well clear of J G Transport

would not recommend this company at all, there are other much more professional companies offering the same service but in a more professional manner. The owner of this company is very rude and arrogant and not at all interested in providing a good customer service. Be aware!
