Though a born and bred Yorkshireman, I had never been to Masham Sheep Fair until this year (2023). It was a very enjoyable weekend. I was not aware there were so many kinds of sheep! The atmosphere was great with Morris Dancers, Silver Bands, manual rope making, spinning, and lots of craft stalls. Also enjoyed a meal at the Black Sheep Brewery.

Can't get more central than this for car parking. Free parking but has honesty box with suggested donation of £1. Less parking slots available on market days, which are Wednesdays and Saturdays. Has a weathered jubilee beacon near to the honesty box, information boards and an old cross and cobblestones. Said to be the largest market place in England. Masham has lovely Georgian buildings overlooking the car park.

A decent sized parking facility in this lovely village. Parking isn't free as there is an honesty box at the top of the car park. However, the suggested fee of £1 is more than reasonable and such forward thinking by the local council to work in this way undoubtedly results in many visitors to this area, which is beautiful.

Big area for parking. No height barrier so good for vans and motorhomes. Honesty box to pay for parking currently £1. Right in the middle of the town/village so surrounded by cafes, pubs, eateries.
