Hedingham Castle was the most beautiful and unique wedding venue. I fell in love with it as soon as we visited. The castle itself and the grounds are stunning. Our ceremony was lit by candles and it was just beautiful. We had our whole day in the castle. The food was incredible and the service was fantastic. We have had so many compliments on the venue from our guests and we had the perfect day. The staff are brilliant, and Sarah Pether at the castle was just fantastic from day one and so responsive. Nothing was too much of an ask and she was incredibly helpful. She always did her best to make everything we wanted happen! I am so pleased we decided to have our wedding here. An unforgettable day that was unique with a gothic vibe. Thank you so much for the best day. It was exactly what we wanted.

Hedingham Castle is the perfect place to get married, especially if you like very old things! We are very old things 😂 but we wanted a spectacular day for our close family and friends. The castle keep, steeped in a thousand year old history, was the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. Candles placed in the alcoves gently flickered in the low Autumn light, adding to the ambience. Every one of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. You get a workout with all the stairs, but think of the history and who may have descended those over the past millenium. The dining hall looked like a film set. In terms of the help we had, the run up was well organised- the team headed up by Sarah Pether was second to none, with people on hand during the entire day to ensure everything went as it was supposed to. We cannot recommend this historic monument for a wedding, highly enough. We held our whole day in the keep, for us this was perfect. Five stars are well deserved for all the help we got to ensure our day went so well. It was magical.

From booking our viewing appointment to the wedding day the staff at Hedingham Castle have been amazing. A big thankyou to Sarah, Jackie and Sharon for all your help. The Weather was not on our side for our big day however everyone helped the day run smoothly. I would recommend Hedingham Castle to anyone.

We went on an event weekend and really enjoyed it. Being able to explore inside the castle was great. Lovely place with the event to keep us entertained for a full day.

We attending the jousting event, having attended a few run previously by English heritage sites.

This one was by far the best performance we've seen. The actors the castle used were fantastic, the monks, and nuns that were showing off there wares in the castle itself were knowledgeable and couldn't tell you enough, nothing was too difficult, and the passion for there hobbies showed.

The castle itself is well kept, was nice to see what Rochester Castle should look like if it had floors and roofs.

This castle is in excellent shape, and the grounds are lovely. We had a great time touring it. You can apparently stay in the big bedroom here AND they do weddings. What a cool place! Parking is super easy and directed by staff. You have to check it out.

Had a good 3 hrs here. Plenty to do and see, the keep, the gardens and the lake. Not pretentious like a NT property, nice cafe and reasonable prices. Plenty of shady areas too for a warm day!

An amazing venue and lots to learn about local history with the informative leaflets and displays. Walking around the outside of the castle, in the original moat and by the lake is very peaceful.
Would recommend to bring a picnic as the cafe only seems to sell pre-packaged items and no coffee machine either 🤯
Could be making so much money making coffee here or selling fresh scooped ice cream for summer !! We had to take our custom elsewhere after exploring the grounds etc although we did want to support the castle.
