Historic station with a great exhibition to the film 'A Brief Encounter'.
Not sure why this station has fallen into the disrepair it has given the historic interest.
Services are limited to Lancashire and The Lakes coastal line. There is information here for passengers and it is conveniently located for Carnforth.
The station has disabled access. No toilets though.

Lovely little station. Closed when we discovered it very early on a Sunday morning but fascinating to discover its famous clock & clash of period architecture.

Grim, thoroughly unloved, and run down. Just needs a clean and a lick of paint... it feels like it hasn't had one in many many years

Great day out for rail enthusiasts. Station is very old fashioned and is very good for photos of passing trains. There is great facilities at the station including toilets and cafes. There is also a model railway shop. The depot is next to the station and is not a very far walk to get all views of it. I would totally recommend going here for an entire day trainspotting.

Great little town with a great selection of independent shops, not the best place if looking to eat, with a few pubs & takeaways, but Bolton Le Sands a mile down the road with the best options, but Carnforth has an Aldi, Booths and Tesco so great for your shopping, and a busy Gregg's in the morning with campers getting tea & bacon butties.
