Update 25/07/2022: Today 1,5 years later, we still have no money (they owe us ~£2,800!), no contact from anyone at App a Van or European Moving. They took our money, they never arrived, they never paid the money back. Beware of Thieves! Our Facebook group has 81 members. They keep cheating people out of the money, the number of times people find our group and say, "I wish I knew it sooner before I paid them, and now it is too late".
I have been speaking to a few moving companies that App a Van (aka European Moving) worked with before. They owe them crazy amounts of money as well. No one wants to work with them anymore! I hope people will open their eyes to the feedback and avoid this company at all costs!

Update 05/05/2022: Full ignore from the director of all App a Van companies, no refund, no payment based on what the UK Court has ordered. They just stole our money and didn't have a .... By the way, NOTE: App a Van and European Moving (EM) have the same owner, and they operate together, so don't fall victim to both companies. A new name doesn't mean it is different. I had two invoices from EM and App a Van for one service, which they never delivered.

Update from 04/08/2021: Today, 27/11/2021, almost a year has passed since we paid App a Van and European Moving for the services they never delivered. No further contact from them or indication when they will refund the money.
Our Victims Facebook group is also growing. We have 34 members already, and more and more people are becoming their victims every day. (Brexit and Covid are no excuse anymore)...

We booked removals with App a Van/European Moving for January 2021 and paid in full for their services. They cancelled less than 24 hours before the move because they never bothered to prepare for Brexit, even though their sales team assured us for weeks that there would be no issues. We lost the money we paid, and we have to pay double for the new moving company as it was booked at the last minute!
I went to court to recover the debt after they never paid after numerous emails. We got a CCJ against them in April 2021. Though it looks like they don't care. In fact, to avoid paying the debt, they changed their ltd name.

Don't be fooled by positive reviews. Do you really want to risk losing your hard-earned money? You might be lucky, but if not, you will never see it again. In fact, we later discovered that it is not normal to ask for full payment upfront. Usually, only 30% is paid before the move and the rest when the goods arrive.

A MOVE FROM HELL
PART 1
In Décember 2020, I paid for the full service (£5000) proposed by European Moving: the packing and inventory of my belongings by a professional team, the dismantling of some furniture, the assistance of the drivers to move items from upstairs and on delivery, to take them to the basement and the transport from the UK to France. The packing team was due to arrive on Friday morning (11/12) to pack my two-bedroom house (incl. garage) and the movers early afternoon to load the vans. When the “packing team” finally arrived at 11.30 am, they admitted, via Google Translate, they were actually truck drivers assigned to do a packing job. They had never done this before, did not have the adequate packing materials and the tools to dismantle furniture. I immediately phoned European Moving but they did not want to confront the issue. Finally, someone talked to one of the men in Russian who confirmed they were inexperienced. Furthermore, the allocated drivers only accepted to pick the boxes handed from the door. One driver even left his truck unattended, with the back door open. I called many times the company, crying my eyes out to be told: “We contacted the packing department and are waiting for their reply”. Around 5.30 pm, two friends arrived to help me. One went upstairs to dismantle the furniture. My other friend and I packed the whole kitchen area. The boxes done by the “packing team” were overloaded, badly tapped and unlabelled. The men wrapped my furniture in a single layer of floating bubble-wrap. In the trucks, some items were crammed without protection and the unpacked items from the garage were left loose on the floor. NO INVENTORY WAS DONE! In France, my family witnessed how badly the trucks had been packed. The drivers refused to unload the trucks. My family did EVERYTHING. In conclusion, I cannot put into words how appalled I am by the services provided by this company. They were supposed to organise and coordinate my move but it was a chaotic experience. They knew the full extent of the problem but did nothing. I tried to get some financial compensation from them but again, many promises broken. Now they are even blocking my calls.
PART 2
More than 90 days after the scheduled move of my belongings from England back to France... Nobody is answering my calls or my emails. The customer service department is a joke and nobody can't confirm that they have received my letter to take them to small claim court. SCAMMERS, THIEVES... I do not know how this company can still be in business...
PART 3
After a disaster experience with European Moving, I followed their procedures to file a official claim and request a refund but was completely ignored. My emails were never answered and my calls were systematically blocked. I have escalated things and brought the case in front of the County court. European Company remained silent during the whole process, ignoring my letter and did not respond to the court. It has now been ordered by the court to pay me some compensation. To be completely honest, I doubt they will ever do it as they are a bunch of scammers but I wanted to go to the end of this process as I do not want them to abuse and scam anyone else.

After more than a year since my last review, I have been contacted by Trustpilot to provide more information to European Moving related to my review. Are you kidding me? Just type my name into your database and you will find all the details you need about my case, the emails, the small claim court case etc.... You don't have any shame, do you?

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I used to arrange my move from UK to France on 8th April 2022. Today is 6th June 2022 and I have never received my belongings!! They said my stuff is somewhere in Poland with one of their subcontractors they have a litigation with. Their subcontractor won’t tell the address of the storage where my stuff is and as far as I can see they are doing the bare minimum to have it back. I had to call the MET police/ Action Fraud to declare my stuff as stolen and contact a solicitor to record all conversations and ask for damages. I’ve had to live in an empty flat for ,months now and incur extra costs to replace some of my belonging I really needed. To add to this awful experience, their team is barely answering my emails and they never proactively call me to give updates on the situation. I have suffered financial loss and my mental health has taken a serious hit… If I don’t get my stuff back shortly I will hit them with a serious lawsuit. As they admitted themselves this shouldn’t have happened and they have told me I would get my stuff back which to this date I didn’t…. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Beware, thieves!!!!
They owe us 75% of the amount. They cancelled the date saying that the team had got the Covid and gave another one but just 10 days before, I got a mail saying they had ceased all their activities. Nobody is answering.
I regret not having looked at the reviews before!
We'll probably go to the police and open a claim.

I've done moving work for this company, sent invoices and still waiting for payment months later.
As I'm not getting responses to my emails - If Ivaylo or Daniel see this please pay the outstanding invoices for work done in July and August 2019.

Terrible terrible terrible. DON´T USE THIS COMPANY. Terrible communication, terrible service and not compliant with the contract. They owe us a refund but they do not respond anymore.

If you want your transport/move to be smooth and without stress, do NOT use App-A-Van.
