The lady serving was extremely rude and refused to accept a Parcelforce parcel that was within the limit of what they are supposed to accept.

She raised her voice to me while serving another customer. She should not be serving customers with her extremely bad attitude.

I would advise to go to Newdigate post office where the staff are welcoming and friendly.

I’ll be putting in a complaint to the Post Office about her rude and unhelpful attitude. Don’t give them your custom, they don’t deserve it!

I always find the people in Carters extremely helpful. I have never had any problems with the post office, they always make suggestions to send things cheaper and more efficiently. Really nice people to deal with.

Very disappointing customer service at the Capel post office today. Mistake made and sadly the post mistress tried to literally blame just me and say I should follow up with the Post Office rather than her have to refund the £3.75 she inadvertently (I hope) took from me for the first parcel. Had a full rant at me in front of a shop full of customers. Glad I have banking on my phone even though she denied my proof - really!!
Shame, I support any village shop but I will vote with my feet and use the nice people up the road.
It would be nice if everything in the shop had a price on it too £7.50 for 100ml of Calpol £4 elsewhere, excessive mark up even for village store. She picked on the wrong person today, I’m not in the mood to be argued with when owed a refund. Finally got cash out the till and complained as she through at me. Where has kindness and humility gone. Queue of 10 people waiting to be served, if I’d been more vulnerable I’d have been in tears. Poor show.

Capel Post Office/Carters of Capel are a very pleasant business. The owners are really friendly, kind and helpful. I'm always popping in for something whether it's wrapping paper or margarine. They'll have it. They have a good selection of every day bits and bobs like a reliable convenience store would have, like screws or household items. Capel wouldn't be the same without them.

Checked the opening hours on line = 07:00 to 19:00
Had an urgent transaction to make. Got there at 17:20
Was told by the very rude lady "I close up early once a month to do my paperwork". She would not even sell me a stamp.
Drove to North Holmwood where I was treated efficiently and courteously.

The lady was SO rude in this post office, no manners, shouting at me in front of my daughter. Was definitely not called for. The way she speaks is not acceptable. There is a lovely post office in Newdigate I would highly recommend.
