Four for the wildlife.
There's been an increase in price...
But it still feels like your going on holiday.
We use too get in the Morris minor.
With our cocker spaniel.
And head too Studland ..
After eating our weight in the local strawberry fields.
Glorious days ....x

Fun way to avoid the long drive round the bay. Might be slow during the summer but in early spring we got straight on the ferry.

A nice short crossing to Studland only costs £1.00 to go over if walking or cycling, no fee on way back. Did thus twice in a week as didn't manage Harry's Rock the first time

Original chain link ferry crossing, providing time saving access to the Jurassic Coast and Swanage. Long queues for cars on both sides of the Ferry especially in the summer when Studland Beach is a natural draw.

Love the Sandbanks ferry. Noisy because of the chain, but fun. Crossing takes just 5 mins but at very busy times, you can queue for a long long time. Lovely cheerful chap in the toll booth, payment is cash or card.
The ferry fills up/clears the queue and goes, so no fixed timetable. A fun way to enter Purbeck.

Sandbanks Chain Ferry.
The only way to get across from Sandbanks to Studland to some of the best hiking in Dorset.
Stunning Beach, is long and quiet when you walk around the corner.
Stunning views, and a great walk to Old Harry Rocks and onto Swanange.
Go as a foot passenger, cyclist or jump on the local open top bus, leave the car.
Highly recommended

Excellent chain ferry Sandbanks to Studland beach and nature reserve. Great value for pedestrian of £1 from Sandbanks and free return . Cars cost under £6 but saves a lot of miles going around long way. Such a beautiful ride across on a sunny day. No shops on Studland side so stock up before you go.
